In 1974 I was diagnosed w/leiomyo at the age of 12. The doctors removed three quarters of my stomach (the tumor was feeding off my blood supply) I underwent chemo for six long years. I am now in my 25th year of remission. I am very healthy and lead an active life. I was treated at the City of Hope in California. I could go into more detail-- This was my life for over six years. I didn't know anyone at the time with the same type of cancer. The children that were diagnosed w/the same caner never lived to tell their story.

My aunt was recently diagnosed with this cancer too. The cancer has spread throughout her abdomen. Is your aunt doing treatment? We are going to find out tomorrow the form of treatment. All my best to your aunt
